Hi, I'm Dom. Over the years I've spent helping people improve their health and wellbeing for over 15 years. Before becoming a personal trainer, I spent a number of years as a high school teacher. While I found teaching rewarding, I realised what I loved most was helping people build confidence, learn new skills and achieve results they never imagined. Personal training gave me the opportunity to do that in a different way, and I haven't looked back.

Over the years I've coached and trained complete beginners, professional athletes, law enforcement, military and first responders, busy parents, new mums, people rehabilitating from injury, competitive body builders and those who simply wanted to feel stronger, move with more freedom and maximise their potential. Every person has their own unique goals, challenges and reasons for walking through the door. I believe it's important to understand those before we even think about training. I've never believed in a one-size-fits-all approach.
My ethos is built around functional strength and quality movement, so the work you put in at training carries over into everyday life. Whether that's picking up the kids, getting through a physical day at work, playing sport, or simply feeling stronger and more capable. From my years at Snap Fitness and through the different iterations of Spartans Playground I've learnt that the best results not only come from working out with intensity but with consistency, good habits and having someone in your corner who genuinely cares about helping you succeed.

My background includes qualifications as a Personal Trainer and Exercise Consultant, a Bachelor's degree specialising in Sport and Society with a focus on health and outdoor education, and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning. Iron & Oak Wellness is different to a commercial gym. It's built around taking the time to get to know people, understanding what they need, and helping them make changes that are realistic and sustainable. Whether that's through personal training, coaching, nutrition support or having someone to help keep them on track.
